Getting things in order for FBI check, etc.

Hi, and greetings from Indiana, USA.

I’ve been using AI for info so far.

But my question is this: I’m not driving anymore, and don’t plan to have my license renewed. Now, the bureau of motor vehicles put a fine on me for not insuring and plating my car, which I have in storage and use to keep stuff in. The fine is “Well, if I you ever want to drive again you have to pay us.” There’s no legal or collect issues. Is this something I’d need to pay off before trying to get an Ecuadorian visa? I’d ignore it if I didn’t think it could jeopardize my application.

No, for your visa you don't need to deal with the fine unless you have been convicted of something. However, if you ever plan to get an Ecuadorian DL, you will have to show a clean driving record. Not sure if the fine will show up there. 0 0

I think that is one of those strange circumstances where you should run it by an immigration attorney or a well known facilitator. I know back when we applied, we had to gave a state clearance as well as the FBI. Perhaps you can ask someone at the state level... Read more 0 0
