Film Club; Mexican food and more

Finally, we have decided to create a Film Club.

Members receive a few small pleasures along the way: priority seating, occasional tastings, discounted wine, surprise screenings and a few other things we will share on movie nights.

Nothing too serious.
Just a small club for people who enjoy cinema, food, wine and great stories.

To reset and begin anew, we decided to project the film that pushed us forward in this incredible 677-film run:

“All About My Mother”
by Pedro Almodóvar
Tuesday, May 12th at 6:45 PM
Reservations with dinner are required.

This Almodóvar masterpiece remains one of the ten most beloved films we have ever shown at La Guarida. And on May 19th, don’t miss Suburban Fury, a newly released documentary examining the 1975 assassination attempt on US President Gerald Ford by Sara Jane Moore.

• Dinner at La Guarida •
Thursday, May 14th | 6 – 9 PM
Order directly from our menu or allow us to guide you through a $30 tasting menu featuring some of our favorite dishes, with two wine pairings or soft drinks included.

• Mexico — 5 dishes for $20 •
Saturday, May 16th | 5 – 9 PM
Mexican food is not meant to overwhelm with spice. Too much heat and you taste nothing. Too little and it loses its soul. we think we have found the right balance. we begin with a homemade quesadilla, followed by black bean tortilla soup, aguachile, oven-roasted chicken with mole macho and, finally, the perfect dessert. All for $20.

We are located at Mariscal Lamar in between Daniel Alvarado and Luis Pauta.
