Hello Friends:

My name is Diana Vera, As you may know, I have been collecting medication and medical supplies that you don’t use anymore, to donate to the several local nursing homes in town. They are in a great need now. Every little bit would help!

We also collect gauze, alcohol, bandages, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, wet wipes, adult diapers or any other medical supplies that you have, like crutches, walkers, canes, glasses and more.

Most unused medicines should not be washed down the sink or toilet. If you have medication that it is expired also just put in a different bag.

Hi everyone! we’ve all been there: you try to log into Chase, Schwab, or Vanguard from your couch in Ecuador, and suddenly—account people think a standard "Big Brand" VPN is enough.

But, banks are getting smarter. They maintain databases of "Data Center" IP addresses used by popular VPN services. When they see a login from one of those, it’s an immediate red "Pro" fix: A dedicated residential IP. If you want to stay off the bank's radar, you need a dedicated residential IP. This makes your connection look like it’s coming from a standard home in the US, not a server farm in Virginia.

A note on security (crucial!): you should never have to give a tech professional your bank username or password. A pro only needs to configure the "tunnel" (the VPN software/hardware) on your router or the tunnel is green, you log in privately. If someone asks for your credentials to "test" the connection, walk away.

The University of Cuenca is starting a series of ten one-hour English conversation sessions with teaching staff at intermediate (B1-B2) level. Starting date May 5. On Tuesdays 6-7 PM at the central campus.
