Find your nahual, or spirit animal rooted in Mexican tradition, and turn it into a personalized mask!
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind mask using traditional cartonería techniques. you’ll start by working from a plaster face mould, then build and shape your design in clay before bringing it to life with layered paper and finishing details.
Along the way, you’ll be guided through a simple process of personal reflection to help you connect with the being or character you want to express—and translate that into your final piece.
