You must wear your masks on the plane unless you are eating and drinking. Upon arrival to Quito, we were escorted down to the D section of the concourse and sat for about 30 minutes. Then two ladies came by each chair and tested oxygen levels and took temperatures. They reviewed our forms quickly. There are 2 forms you fill out on the plane related to basic passenger info, health and where you will be quarantining for the 14 days.
Upon completion of the temp and oxygen, you are asked to stand in a line where your paperwork is reviewed again, especially your PCR results. At random, I believe, several were pulled aside for a rapid test. From there we were directed to Immigration and Baggage Claim through the normal process.
We hired a driver to take us to Cuenca. It was a 7 ½ hour drive with very little traffic other than a few trucks, given Sunday driving restrictions. Overall the process was well organized and efficient.
