On Saturday, January 31st at 6 PM, “Esquina de las Artes” in Cuenca will host a special concert of Argentine music.
The duo, comprised of Elías Córdoba (violin) and Ismael Flores (viola), will present a repertoire encompassing tangos, milongas, chamarritas, and traditional Argentine music, in an intimate and expressive format that blends popular and classical styles.
This concert takes place before their trip to the city of Loja, where both musicians will join the Latin American Symphony Orchestra, representing Argentina on violin and viola, in a continental project dedicated to cultural integration and music as a language of peace.
Elías Córdoba is a permanent violinist with the Salta Symphony Orchestra, a renowned educator, and a cultural promoter. He won third place in the international auditions of the Samnium University of Music (Italy) and is the author of the book “Violinists of the 21st Century,” declared of Provincial Interest by the Senate for its contribution to music education and human development through art.
Ismael Flores is a Professor of Music specializing in viola, a member of the Jujuy Symphony Orchestra, and a three-time member of the Latin American Symphony Orchestra. He is a distinguished instrumentalist with a solid artistic and pedagogical background in symphonic and chamber music projects throughout Latin America.
This is an unmissable opportunity to enjoy Argentine music in dialogue with Latin American identity, in an intimate, expressive, and high-caliber concert.
