We are pleased to announce that Rock Creek Resort, formerly known as The Oasis Eco Lodge, is ready with many upgrades (one, for example, is fiber optic internet in our cabins!). We will generally be open only on the weekends, but we will consider making special allowances during the week for special events. We are set up to host groups for classes, workshops and retreats, and to this end we can house 12 guests in our 4 cabins. We are building a new dorm to house 6 ready for January retreats.
Of special note is that we have built a pickleball court, ideal for groups to have an all-day or several day event. The court is covered (metal roof is 10 feet high), so you have full protection from sun, wind, and rain. On 3 side the court is walled, so no more chasing balls all over the place. Truly an ideal space, except for no high lob shots!
We have a full kilometer of cascading creek to explore or simply sit in our pavilion and enjoy the tranquility.
Soon to be available to the public is our energy pyramid (Ecuador’s largest pyramid, hand-built by a gringo over the age of 70!), where you can sit in a lounge chair, lay on a yoga mat, or receive a healing massage (bring your own!) on a massage table. The crystal-lined central shaft will shower your body with radiant energy with the potential for miraculous healing and personal transformation.
For families we have Camp Paradise, where you can enjoy camping (your equipment or rent ours), with full use of our camp kitchen, solar shower and composting toilets.
For those staying in the deluxe resort cabins, you can use a guest kitchen or order from our restaurant in the main lodge. Our retired gringo chef enjoys cooking gourmet Italian dishes, including chicken piccata, shrimp scampi, veal scallopine saltimbocca, and braciole. Enjoy homemade pizzas, focaccia bread, heirloom tomato caprese salad, a variety of pastas and soups, and, of course our homemade Italian cheesecake and Espresso chocolate mousse. (the restaurant is only open to resort guests)
