It sure has been rainy lately. The rivers are full, land is sliding in many parts of the country, roads and highways are closed. Trees are falling – some even smashing things like the one yesterday in Puertas del Sol where several trees fell over on the bridge and left quite a mess. (Kudos to the men and women who worked tirelessly to free the bridge. They started around 4:30 PM or so and worked until almost midnight with just a brief break for a snack. It wasn’t pretty and many of the tree trunks and branches are still there, piled up around the intersection but allowing cars and pedestrians free travel).
Wow! With all that happening, I wouldn’t blame you if you called for a driver (me) who knows the roads and knows how to get around obstacles. What if the road is closed – is there another way to get through?
Not only do I know Cuenca like the back of my hand, I also speak fluent English and can communicate your needs and wants to someone who doesn’t speak English – banker, grocery store, lawyer, doctor, car rental agency (oh, the guy that owns Cuenca Car Share (me), does speak English – no facilitator required there.
