Hello All,
My apologies for being MIA for a couple of weeks on GringoPost. I have been in the States making sure my other restaurant stays on course. It has had me consumed more completely and for longer than I expected. That said, here I am. At least virtually.
The real news from EAT is that, after taking our best shot at breakfast, we’re going to call it quits with that one. We love our breakfasts, but it really requires a certain amount of business to sustain itself and that just doesn’t seem to be materializing right now. Thank you to all who support it and we’re sorry to disappoint, but business is business. Saturday will be our last breakfast.
In other news, the paro has really put a damper on business in general, so things at the restaurant you voted best new restaurant in Cuenca are quite a bit slower than we’d like them to be. So, here’s my friendly reminder (plea), that if you love EAT, time to come in or order out and support it and us as much as you are able and willing. With so many wonderful food options in Cuenca, it’s hard to get the numbers needed to sustain a restaurant. We so appreciate your support and patronage thus far and now place the subliminal message in your brain that when you go out, think of EAT.
Thank you all so much and we hope to share a table with you very soon.
Matthew
