After 25 years of practice, Iván describes his approach to yoga simply: “Each class is an experience — a meditation in movement.”
His practice is rooted in Purna Yoga / Integral Yoga, drawing from pranayama, Kundalini practices, Hatha Yoga asanas, breath, attention, and meditation — weaving together what best supports the students present and the practice unfolding that day.
The intention isn’t simply to complete a series of postures.
• It’s to move with awareness.
• To breathe consciously.
• To quiet the mind.
• To reconnect body and attention.
And, little by little, to bring the different parts of ourselves into greater harmony and carry more balance into everyday life.
Iván is currently offering small-group Integral Yoga classes in Cuenca on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, near Parque Tarqui-Guzho.
