Hello! My name is Jenny. An expat friend encouraged me to share my story here.
I live in Santa Ana, just outside Cuenca, and I’m a single mother of three children. The father of my children is nowhere to be found, and the government doesn’t hold men like this accountable. To support my family—and to help care for the many stray animals in our community—I sell affordable secondhand items, including clothing, jackets, shoes, luggage, bedding, electronics, and small household goods.
You can usually find me on the sidewalk outside Feria Libre, next to the Tía and Titán stores, every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 AM to 6 PM.
If you have clothing, household items, or other things you no longer need, I would be incredibly grateful for your donation. I travel by bus from Santa Ana to pick up donations when needed (it’s about a one-hour trip), or you’re very welcome to bring them directly to me at Feria Libre. I can send you a map or my GPS location so it’s easy to find me.
I don’t speak English, but I use a translation app, so we’re able to communicate.
