Introduction to Ceramic Hand-Building Workshop
Step into the quiet, grounding world of working with clay.
This four-session workshop is a gentle introduction to ceramic hand-building, where ceramicist Candy Sugarman will teach the foundations of shaping vessels and simple forms while exploring the connection between hands, earth, and attention.
Over three consecutive afternoons, we will learn the essential techniques — pinch, slab, and coil — allowing the rhythm of our hands to guide the process. Two weeks later, we gather again to glaze our pieces and witness what the fire has transformed.
No previous experience is needed.
