This weekend the festivities begin in Cuenca and throughout Ecuador. You’ll see families gathered to celebrate. Most banks and many businesses will be closed. Fewer taxis will operate, possibly leaving you with a desire to get out of town and unable to do so.

Another long weekend will occur in April when many people celebrate Holy Week, Good Friday, and Easter. Again, call me to book your vacation car rental for this time period. (Travel tip: If you need lodging during these long weekends, book that early, too.) When you book, I deliver the car to you. If you arrive in Quito, Guayaquil or wherever, I will arrange for delivery.
