Contrary to what we have read in the news, Puerto Lopez offers a peaceful retreat for folks willing to look past their fear.
Mandala has changed hands, since our last stay, and the new owner(s) have a real eye to creature comforts. The cottages have been updated, with A/C, new art, lighting, ceilinga and roofs.
The exterior remains the same lush garden, with a never-ending variety of interesting plant-life. Paths have been upgraded to hard paving stones, making it so much easier to navigate.
And then there is the pool, and jetted tub. Lounge-chairs (many shaded), water-loungers and a lovely undulating outline.
Included breakfasts continue to be filling, with three choices for each, complete with competent and friendly service. The front desk accommodates each need, from recommendations, summoning rides and pool-towels.
