Living well in a different country is about learning how to navigate daily life while also finding your community.
“Move, Connect, Learn” is an experiential program for expats in Cuenca who want to feel more confident, connected, and at home in their daily lives. Whether you’re newly arrived or have been here for a while but still feel a bit disconnected, this course offers a supportive space to better understand local culture and begin living more fully in Ecuador.
Each week introduces practical themes such as local customs, communication styles, personal safety, and digital awareness. These topics are explored through conversation and reflection, then integrated through Biodanza, a joyful, music-based movement practice that helps transform information into lived experience.
With time, shared movement and reflection open space for genuine friendships to grow, shifting confusion and isolation into clarity, connection, and a deepening sense of community—while nurturing and strengthening the body in the process.
The course is taught by María Mercedes Moreno and runs for 8 weeks, beginning Saturday, January 17, with classes held on Saturdays from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
The program includes 20 hours of guided practice. The full course fee is $240, with 30% directly supporting the work of the nonprofit Hearts of Gold. An early bird rate of $210 is available for those who enroll and pay in full by January 14.*
Still not sure if it’s the right fit? You’re welcome to attend the first class with no obligation to continue.
We’d love to hear from you and are happy to answer any questions.
*Early bird pricing does not apply if full payment is received after January 14, 2026.
