My name is Caty Frenkel, and The Cookie Concept began long before it had a name.
It started quietly, in my own kitchen, during days when I wished I could find a truly special cookie—something delicious but not too sweet, not too greasy, something that felt thoughtful. As a mom, a professional, a wife, and a lifelong sweet lover, I wanted a treat I could enjoy without guilt and with genuine pleasure.
When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I began baking my own. What started as small experiments soon became part of my family’s routine. I mixed, adjusted, and refined recipes, sharing every new batch with friends and relatives. One afternoon, a close friend tried my oatmeal–peanut–chocolate cookie and told me with absolute certainty that I should consider turning it into something bigger. Her excitement stayed with me.
That moment was the seed of The Cookie Concept. I wanted my cookies to reflect care and generosity—if a cookie had chocolate chips, it should have plenty; if it had nuts, they should be present in every bite. I wanted each cookie to bring a little happiness, the way homemade treats always have in my family.
As time went on, I explored new ideas: savory cookies, gluten-free options, cookies without added cane sugar, and even frozen dough for baking at home. My kitchen became a blend of tradition, creativity, and motherhood—an unexpected place where a small dream quietly took shape.
This holiday season, as people gather with loved ones, I’m reminded of why I began. The Cookie Concept grew from simple joys—good ingredients, warm kitchens, and the pleasure of sharing something made with love. In the end, it’s always been about that—creating a taste of home.
