The Grace Foundation provides over 600 people monthly with free services, including medical, dental, psychological, food, clothing, English lessons, youth music lessons and music instruments and other sevices. Grace, used to focus on the needs of refugees, but now targets all people of need with a goal to provide services. Currently our costs for services averages less than $10. This is a fraction of what it would cost if it weren’t for all of our volunteers and who help with all aspects of our services and donations of clothes, food, medicine, music instruments and much more.
As we still have unmet needs in our community, we continuously fund raise and seek more volunteers. Starting now, we will provide a weekly list of volunteer needs. Your willingness to volunteer, help our funds go much farther to provide vital help to people with the most need.
Here is a list of our needs for the upcoming week:
• Someone to teach English/communication classes to teenagers. Once a week, on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. You only need a basic understanding of Spanish and how to communicate effectively
• Someone with medical knowledge to help us inventory and organize the medications in our pharmacy, once every two weeks for a couple of hours, or an ability to use Google to research medicine.
• Someone with basic Spanish skills (helpful but not required) could to accompany our doctor on health walks on Fridays afternoons, to Feria Libre.
• Someone to help inventory clothing donations we receive, once a week.
If you would like to help us in other ways, please let us know. And if you do not have the time or ability to volunteer, your donations would be greatly appreciated. Please respond to the email address. Thank you for your help.
