Lenin is the owner of the Manaba Point Cafeteria. I recently purchased labneh and chocolate chip cookies from him. Both were excellent!
Labneh is a thick, tangy Middle Eastern cheese made by straining yogurt to remove its whey, resulting in a creamy, spreadable texture similar to cream cheese. It is a versatile staple used as a dip with bread and vegetables, or as a spread on sandwiches, and is traditionally served drizzled with olive oil and seasoned with za’atar. It’s healthy and delicious.
Lenin’s chocolate chip cookies are delicious. He has learned how to make the more traditional USA cookie and for us, it tasted like home.
The cookies are a dozen for $10 and $6 for 500 grams of labneh. Lenin speaks English.
