Here are some reasons you might want to check out St Christopher Episcopal Mission (SCEM).
Inclusiveness: All are welcome at SCEM and we mean all. This is a core value of the Episcopal Church because we believe everyone is welcome at the table and we believe in civility and community.
Quality services: Good music, good messages, amazing snacks. SCEM isn’t a glitzy packaged product like you’d find at so many American mega-churches. However, it is genuine, thoughtful and progressive.
Open-mindedness: Our members have a wide variety of beliefs and come from many different Christian denominations. If you’ve got more questions than answers (like me), you’ll be a good fit here.
Mission-mindedness: We are very committed to helping those less fortunate in the Cuenca Community. We have supported the Compassion Kitchen, the Cuenca Foundation, Hearts of Gold, Crea tu Espacio and GRACE (Give refugees a chance). This is a good place to dedicate your resources, to find ways to do community service, and to expand your thinking about the difference you can make in our community.
Connectedness: You will find people really belong and make great relationships here.
You are always welcome to give us a try on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 PM. We can be found at Bartolome de las Casas #5-34 T Tirso de Molina.
