This week we have available our organically grown Arazá
Frozen Arazá pulp: $7 lb.
The flavor of Arazá fruit is sweet with bittersweet nuances, reminiscent of pineapple and mango. It’s an excellent source of fiber, vitamins E, C, and B1 as well as potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, and calcium. In natural remedies among indigenous peoples of the western Amazon, Arazá fruit is consumed to cleanse the liver and lower cholesterol.
The frozen pulp is ready to blend into smoothies.
Try this recipe for a creamy smoothie:
Mix 1 lb Araza frozen pulp with 32 oz (1 liter) milk and .25 cup sugar (or to taste) and blend until frothy. For a super creamy smoothie use 20 oz milk and add a can (410 gm) of evaporated milk. A tasty and nutritious treat!
This week we will deliver to Cuenca, Thursday 21, until Sunday 24 August.
