About the Play
A gripping thriller filled with twists, deceit, and suspense, Dial M for Murder follows the cunning Tony Wendice as he orchestrates the ultimate crime—murdering his wealthy wife. But when his plan unravels, he scrambles to manipulate the situation to his advantage.
Roles are open to actors of all ages; casting will be based on talent and chemistry.
Character Breakdown
Tony Wendice – A former writer turned publisher, Tony is consumed by jealousy and plots to murder his wife Margot, believing she has been unfaithful.
Margot Wendice – Tony’s wealthy wife, unaware of his plan and entangled in a secret affair with Maxine.
Maxine Hadley – An American crime novelist whose affair with Margot adds unexpected complexity to the mystery.
Inspector Hubbard – A Scotland Yard detective who takes his job quite seriously. He may appear eccentric, but there may be more to him than meets the eye.
Lesgate – A schoolmate from Tony’s past whose checkered history gets him caught in a web of danger.
