Dr. Mikov is a Russian expat, from Saint Petersburg, who has been here since 2022. He and his family fled to Ecuador when the Ukrainian War began. His wife Tatiana is a dermatologist, and their son is Matthew.
In Saint Petersburg, Mike was the department head of rehabilitation at the largest hospital. There, his daily patient load was about 25 rehab candidates.
In Cuenca he offices near Las Americas and Ordonez Lasso in the Edificio Astudillo. He can perform house calls as well.
Most sessions are one hour long, and his technique is customized to your needs. His Cuenca panel of patients is mostly expatriates, and Mike speaks multiple languages. I see Mike biweekly to maintain my mobility after several serious traumas. Most people do not need continual care, but I do to keep pain at bay and to optimize my maximum function.
Dr. Mike is a very tall and strong man. He uses several modalities, including deep muscle massage, deep muscle and tendon stretching, manual adjustments, acupressure, and manipulation. Chiropractic and massage were not getting my needed results.
