US to Ecuador wire transfers

Good morning,

Has anyone had a good (or bad) experience wire transferring funds from BofA, Chase, Capital One, or Schwab to Banco Pichincha?

I very transferred $190,000 from AMEX Savings to Bank of America and then BoA to Charles Schwab. Charles Schwab to Banco de Guayaquil in order to purchase property. Our primary account was with JEP, but they would not transfer to a cooperative. 0 0

Banco pichincha told me they charge $250 fees for deposit us checks, maria the branch manager in the pichincha Centro told that 0 0

She is incorrect. We are depositing checks for free since a year or so. We were never charged a penny. Maybe you can talk to someone else? There is a Banco Pichincha in Mall del Rio, they are very knowledgeable, they are the ones who changed our free per week... 0 0

because I had opened my account with them in the Centro, i really went to day Monday and asked her again if they charge $250 even if it was for $2000 ,she confirmed the same $250!! I'm going to mall del Rio to find out 0 0

When one of our friends sold something expensive back in the US and wanted to do an international wire transfer from their US bank account to Banco Pichincha, BP wanted to charge them $275 for the wire transfer because they said it goes through an intermediate bank which is Wells... 0 0

Not to Banco Pichincha but I have made numerous transfers from Schwab to Banco Bolivariano. It’s quick, easy and inexpensive. Schwab charges $15 per transfer regardless of amount and BB charges $10. It almost always happens same day unless I try it on a holiday or weekend. 0 0

There is no need to wire funds anymore and incur larger charges. Much easier to use Xoom or Wise or one can even write a check from your bank and wait a week for the funds to be deposited without any charge at all. Look around and do your due... Read more 0 0

Sending $5000 using Xoom from bank account costs over $15 in addition to whatever the ECU bank will charge to receive it...Maybe due your own diligence depending on how much a person wants to transfer. 0 0

I transfer money all the time using Xoom and have never ever paid a receiving fee on the Ecuador end. Always cheaper than a wire transfer from a bank. 0 0
