• Fall Session CCC Spanish
Sept. 9 – Dec. 20
For nearly three years, our language program has flourished and become a cornerstone of our Casa Creativa Intercultural. We’re launching a new 15-week session with options for group, pair, and individual classes. You can choose to register monthly or sign up for the entire session to enjoy a discounted rate. • Tango Classes
In recent months, idiomART has become an integral part of Cuenca’s vibrant tango community. We’re excited to continue to collaborate with Luis and Greisi from TangoArt, who have been offering ongoing tango classes. This time, they are providing two distinct classes: one for beginners and another for those with some tango experience or who have been continuing their classes with them.
- Beginner Class:
Tuesdays starting Sept. 17 and ending Oct. 22

• Traditional Straw Weaving Workshop
Sept. 19 and 20 from 2 – 5 PM
Learn the art of traditional toquilla straw weaving with local designer Gabriela Zumba! Master essential techniques, use provided materials, and create a beautiful handcrafted item.
What you’ll learn:
– Introduction to toquilla straw
– Costal stitch technique
– Rib knitting technique
– Coloring with colored straw
– Creating texture and design with “shots”

• Raku Pottery Class with Holly Deckard
In this 4-session workshop, create stunning Raku pottery from start to finish. Learn hand-building, glazing, and firing techniques, and leave with beautiful, personalized artworks. Discover the magic of Raku pottery and make pieces that truly shine!

• Bookbinding Class with Flora Lecroart
Oct. 12 from 11 AM – 3 PM
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to craft a beautifully designed exposed stitch notebook. Flora will then share tips for therapeutic journaling, combining the art of bookbinding with the healing power of writing and creativity.
