I will be driving to Baños (Ambato) Wednesday afternoon or evening or very early (3 AM) Thursday morning. This is a one-way trip, starting in Cuenca and ending in beautiful Baños. If you want to go to Baños and spend some time there, this could work out for you. This is not a day trip up and back but it would be a great time to get up there, check into a resort, hotel, hostel, and spend some time enjoying the beauty of this location, the hot pools, seeing the volcano, and generally relaxing.
