I was in desperate need of a haircut so I decided to try the Bigotte mobile barbershop on Miguel Cordero Davila. I stopped by to made an appointment and the barber did not speak any English and my very minimal Spanish wasn’t working for me so the barber called the owner to speak with me.
I was so impressed when I arrived, the next morning at ten, the owner, Mauricio Granda had driven across town to be there for my haircut to make sure everything went smoothly with my cut.
The price of the haircut was $10, but it included a drink. He offered me a beer, a soft drink, a Scotch, Tequila, Gin or sparkling water, collagen treatment under my eyes and at the end he had a surprise for me.
He said, “Now you’re going to get our famous happy ending”.
My eyes must have bugged out in surprise, because he laughed and said, “Not that kind of happy ending!” He told me they would be doing a complimentary nose hair waxing.
Who knew I had that much hair deep in my nostrils! It actually feels like I can breathe better!
I can highly recommend either his mobile shop in El Vergel or his salon on Gran Columbia y Miguel Morocho where he offers facials, massages, manicures and pedicures in addition to haircuts for men.
