Since the beginning of April, master luthier, Pablo Jacho’s exhibition “Construir el Sonido” has been making quite a splash in our community. Since the opening, he’s been invited to two television programs, has had a newspaper interview, has had local musicians and composers approach him to do contemporary musical projects and, more than anything, he has had visitors coming daily to experience his art show!
It truly is a unique and simply stunning experience and display of his artistic talent, his attention to detail, and his love of the craft.

If you haven’t had a chance to come see this show, we hope you take the time to do so. You will not be disappointed! This Saturday (April 27) is the last day to take advantage of this opportunity, so rearrange your schedules and work us in!
Construir el Sonido is an extraordinary collection of handcrafted instruments, which are both works of art and functioning instruments. Inspired by the baroque, medieval, and Andean luthiers, this exhibition is a sonic journey through time.
This is not a “look only” exhibit either. With assistance, you are welcome to play the instruments and experience both their craftsmanship and beautiful sound. He has also built the largest bandolin in the country that you can actually go inside and experience what the inside of this Ecuadorian instrument is like.
