Would you like to improve your Spanish conversational skills with a native speaker of both Spanish and English?
I am a bilingual Spanish teacher with more than sixteen years of experience teaching. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Latin American studies.
I have taught students in formal classroom settings, and I have also taught one-on-one private lessons. Before moving to Ecuador, I was the Head of the Modern Language Department of Norfolk Collegiate School in Norfolk, Virginia. I created and implemented the Spanish Language curriculum for Spanish II, III, IV, V, and Advanced Placement Spanish.
My goal is to help my students improve their conversational Spanish in a relaxed environment where students feel free to make mistakes while practicing with a patient and knowledgeable teacher.
I am currently filling online slots for tutoring sessions for the 2024 calendar year.
The virtual sessions are 50 minutes in length and are geared toward students who already have a basic knowledge of the Spanish language and its mechanics. Sessions are in Spanish, switching to English only for grammar instruction and clarification when needed.
*Minimum commitment: two sessions per week
*Classes are booked and pre-paid monthly
