Four Gentleman Formula
This ancient formula is made up of four of the most important herbs in Traditional Chinese medicine, the principle herb being Ginseng, with a fifth herb to harmonize their actions together.
It’s one of the oldest formulas, and simplest.
This formula is for tonifying (supplementing) the Qi, or the energy, specifically of the spleen, which in Chinese medicine is the main source of energy in the body. The spleen is related to the digestion, and is what changes food into energy that can be used by the body.
A lack of spleen Qi can manifest as fatigue, poor digestion with loose stool, shortness of breath, tiredness, and difficulty concentrating.
Good digestion is critical for overall health. Making sure your digestion is functioning at it’s best can have profound effects on your quality of life.
