I am the father of Adrián Araujo Ortega. We live in Cañar, a small town in Ecuador. My son has shown remarkable abilities since a young age. He learned to read at the age of 3 and has been an avid learner ever since. He has a strong passion for astronomy and has been reading books related to the universe from an early age. However, due to the lack of professionals or institutes in our small town for this type of study, he has taken it upon himself to educate and learn autonomously.
Coincidentally, we learned about a national astrophysics competition and decided to enroll him. Two months later, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that he had won the competition, despite competing against hundreds of students from the capital city who have access to better education, equipment, technology, and other advantages that the metropolis offers.
Now, he will represent Ecuador in the World Championship in Greece, starting from September 24th. We are thrilled and working hard to cover the expenses, but the truth is that they are quite substantial. It’s not just about the travel costs; we have noticed that he needs more modern and professional astronomical observation equipment, which we currently lack.
My son has proven his talent, and all his achievements have been driven by his own motivation, allowing him to break out of the limitations of our small Andean town and explore the world while showcasing his abilities. We hope to receive your support to foster the development of a future scientist who will contribute to humanity.
