In Qigong, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Taoism, the taming of the monkey mind is highly valued as a means to address emotional torment. The monkey mind refers to the restless and unsettled nature of our thoughts and emotions, which can lead to feelings of distress and torment.
These practices emphasize the cultivation of inner peace, balance, and harmony. They provide various techniques and principles that help individuals gain control over their thoughts, emotions, and mental states. Through mindful breathing exercises, meditation, and movements, practitioners learn to calm the mind and create a sense of stillness and focus.
We have had a request to hold a workshop on this subject. Which we are very happy to do, it is one of the most important subjects within Qigong and TCM.
If you are to receive the most benefit out of your practice, and if you want to reach higher states of awareness, working with your emotions are essential!
