Highlux Photography Blog: Bikepacking from Alaska to Patagonia and other adventures in photography.
Mark Watson is a New Zealand-based photographer and author specializing in landscape, adventure and travel photography. His photos have been been published internationally in books, magazines, advertising, catalogs, calendars, websites and travel guides.
With his partner Hana Black, Mark spent close to four years traversing a route from Alaska to central Patagonia, generally following the American Cordillera, but were forced to pause the trip and return home from Chile because of Covid-19.
In November 2022 they got back on the road, intending to finish the trip in five more months, bikepacking 5000km south to the end at Ushuaia.
Absolutely stellar photography, most of it well outside the standard tourist areas.
