I’ve been teaching bridge for over 50 years, and it has occurred to me that as I age, so do my potential students. With this in mind, I have designed a new, more merciful approach to learning to play bridge which takes a slower path to getting to a level of bridge chosen by each student. The initial 8 classes will focus simply on playing the game and having fun. Later lessons and/or time at the practice table will slowly add simple components until students have decided that they have learned as much as they want to know. With the new school, I now have the ability to set aside specific playing times for those who just want to play a somewhat simplified version of the game and stay there forever if they like. Students wishing to learn fancier bidding and experience more competitive play can then change to my beginner’s games and later the regular games if they choose.
One of my favorite things about bridge is that there are many, many levels of complexity that players can choose from and stay at any one of them whenever they find a place that they are comfortable with. I am thrilled to be able to offer that now, after 10 years of teaching here in Cuenca and never having the space to do this.
I offer the first set of 8 two-hour classes for $50. The classes are held on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 from October 6-31. Even the simplified version will significantly improve your mental function and it’s the best game in the world.
This class is almost full, but I do have a bit of room left. Email me soon to reserve your space.
October 6-31 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM, $50,
