Internet banking log in problems

I am unable to log into the enlinea services of JEP as well as Cooperco.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

For JEP I get an internal server error message and for Cooperco I get a privacy error message as if the system has been hacked.

I am not in Ecuador right now and wanted to check the balance in my accounts. The mobile application for JEP is not working either.

I did read about the Banco Pichincha cyber attack. Have these cooperativas been affected as well? A bit worried…

Appreciate any advice or feedback.

Lovely Iris for adoption

Iris is an adorable 1.5 year old, medium-size, spayed female. She is a manageable 12 kg. She is docile and very good with children and other doggies. She is house trained and walks very well on leash. She has endearing and unique eyes; one blue and the other brown.

Iris was adopted from FAAN as a puppy by an Ecuadorian family who eventually began facing financial hardships. As a result, they recently emigrated to another country. Now Iris is left behind without a family.

Does your family sound like a good fit for Iris? Please help us give Iris a home life she is accustomed to.

If you would like to arrange a meet and greet with darling and deserving doggie, Iris, please contact me.

Help us put a bow on this project

There are only a few wishes left to grant before we can wrap this project up and put a bow on it.

Some wishes are specific like a princess costume for a six-year-old girl or a pair of size 37 shoes for a 13-year-old boy.

Some wishes are more general like the 17 children who wished for nothing more than a soccer ball.

If you would like to grant a small wish for one of these children please go to:

If you would rather not do the shopping yourself, we will do it for you – just choose the cash option.

So many of you have taken the children of the Cuenca Soup Kitchen under your wings. Thank you!

2 beautiful dogs still looking for their forever families

Osa and Bailey are 2 beautiful girls that are still looking for their forever families. Why have they not been adopted yet? It’s a question I cannot answer. Both are great companions. Bailey loves to play fetch, and is excellent at retrieving the ball and dropping it at your feet. She is an active girl and deserves an active lifestyle. Osa loves her walks but is also a big mush. If you love to cuddle, Osa is your girl.

Currently we are still home to 9 dogs and 2 cats. We are in need of dog food, cat food, cat litter, and cleaning supplies. Please consider contributing to the needs of the current members of Paws with Hope. Paypal:

Give a cat a home

Months ago a cat just showed up in our backyard. In the beginning we thought she was sick and started to feed her. Then we found out she was pregnant and decided to keep her untll she would have her kittens. We took good care of her and gave her kittens in adoption, also we took her to a vet to be sterilized. We have children and two cats already. We had to move and the space doesn’t let us add another member to the family. We would love to keep her but is just not possible to do more for now. She’s docile, calm, enjoys human company. Also, we taught her how to use her sandbox. The vet said we should take her back to the place she showed up in the first place and leave her there, but we want a better future for her.

Give me a call if you have any other ideas or are interested to take her in.

Does your building have fire escape ladders or sprinklers?

Everyone knows that more people die from smoke inhalation than the fire that causes it. Experts say you may have a little as two minutes (or even less) to safely escape a typical home fire from the time the smoke alarm sounds. Couches, drapes, bedding and other furniture are all common flammable materials that contribute to fire and excess smoke. (Fires and smoke are most commonly caused by cooking and the propane tanks located in a kitchen.)

If your home has old smoke detectors that are left over from a previous occupant, why not update them with an inexpensive new one from CosasPrep? They are only $15.
If you know someone that would have difficulty lifting a fire extinguisher, pulling the pin, sweeping the fire retardant across the bottom of a fire, then consider providing one of our inexpensive fire extinguisher balls. Just toss it in or near a fire and the compressed fire retardant will put out grease fires, electrical fires, etc. (They are ABC fire extinguishers.) They are currently only $15 each, or 2 for $25.
See us at either store for smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguisher balls, and much more.

Recommendation for Wes the Mentalist, entertainer

I have recommended Wes’s show in the past, but last night was an entirely new show for us. Wes is a real showman who provides quality stories as well as truly amazing feats of mental telepathy.

One example from Thursday night’s show, Wes had me draw something on a piece of paper which I then put into an envelope and sealed it. Another person was to write the name of a childhood pet and seal that in an envelope. Wes was nowhere near our table as we were following the instructions.

As he stood in front of the audience, he wrote the name “Smokey” on a small white board. This was the exact name our friend had written and sealed in her envelope.

He had me stand beside him as he covertly drew what he thought I had drawn on my paper while chuckling and saying “How seasonally appropriate”. When he was done, he asked me to replicate what I had drawn on a second little white board. Without looking, we exchanged whiteboards. We both had Jack O Lanterns.

It was a fun filled evening and highly recommended.

Recommendation for Christian Ordoñez, painter at face constructions

You have probably seen Christian’s ads here on GringoPost offering to paint a room with Sherwin Williams paint for $75. We took him up on that deal and are thrilled with the results.

Christian painted each of our rooms with colors we chose, using Sherwin Williams paint. He is one of the most meticulous painters we have ever encountered. A true perfectionist. We could not fault anything before Christian pointed out a problem that he was going to remedy. He filled in every crack, nail or screw hole after removing everything from each room’s walls. He even found and repaired areas we did not even know needed fixing. He took photos ahead of time so he could replace each piece exactly where it previously was hung.

We could not have been happier with his work and recommend him fully and completely.

Recommendation for Movitec Celulares, cellulars and electronics

I want to give a shout out and a big thank you to Pablo Méndez from Movitec Celulares, located at Bolivar 9-77 and Padre Aguirre. I had purchased $54 worth of Google Play gift cards for my friends’ two children, but couldn’t validate them because they could only be validated in the United States. I was worried that I was going to lose the money I spent, but Pablo was very understanding and helpful in asking me to try to get someone in the US to upload them to my Google account, and he told me that if I couldn’t, he would gladly refund my money. I tried and was unsuccessful, and true to his word, Pablo refunded my $54. He is an honest and professional, and in the future, I will shop his store first for any of my electronic needs.

At Trinity Cuenca, we are different. We serve those in our community, our city, and our world. We take seriously Jesus’ command to love God and love people.

We are a truly diverse church with people from 14 different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. We come together to explore what God’s word really means and how to apply it to our lives; build strong relationships; serve each other and serve our community. We desire to be a true expression of the love of Jesus.

At Trinity Cuenca, God is building a family-friendly church that consists of people of all ages, countries, cultures, and backgrounds. A place where the people of Cuenca can find God, love, unity, hope and grace.

We will start promptly at 10 AM. Come early and have a cup of coffee and a snack. Stay afterwards to hang out with friends, new and old.

We are located on Ordonez Lasso in the River Side building (same building as Bank Pichincha next door to Home Vega) We are on the first floor (no stairs!) with ample parking and bus stops close by.

Arrebol Gallery reopening exhibit

After a few months being closed, the Arrebol Gallery is back. We’re showing the works of Rodrigo Jara, which can be described as the reaction of acid over copper, zinc, or yellow metal, and Jorge Chalco’s acrylics over canvas or wood. These are elegant, refined and expertly produced art pieces that will please the eye of our sophisticated customers.

We invite you to visit us and enjoy the show. Our hours are 10 AM to 1 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM. We’ll be glad to see you. You can call us to arrange for a private viewing at 095 887 4407.
