It’s a long weekend! There’s two rides this week so pick your day: Sunday 23rd Feb and Mon 24th Feb.
We at Rancho Patococha invite you to come on our horseback riding experience, and all riders, novice or experienced are welcome on this day trip.
You will be picked up at either Parque de la Madre or SuperMaxi, Las Americas at 8:15 and dropped off around 2 PM.
The ride to Rancho Patococha takes about 45 minutes and once you let us know your level of riding, your horse will be saddled up all ready to go.
Enjoy refreshments before and after the ride, we have a nice leisurely lunch and you can relax on the outside deck of this beautiful home.
Tour around the property and inspect all the equestrian memorabilia that the Malo family have collected over the years, their collection of saddles, bridles and knickknacks are a must see.
A lot of the horses here are specifically trained for the sport of polo, which is a very popular pastime amongst the Ranches in Cuenca. The season is over, but Sebastian will tell you all there is to know about this sport and show you the required tack for the horses and riders.
There are over 40 horses at the Ranch, many of them are still in the nursery paddocks with their foals, and as this is a working dairy farm, you’ll see where the dairy products come from for their family store located below their property on the main road. Here you can buy their specialty cheeses and freshly made flavored yogurt…
On booking your place for either Sunday or Monday, we will send you a list of detailed information, and in the meanwhile why not check out our facebook page, there’s lots of information, photos and videos on there.
We recommend boots, suitable riding gear and a jacket, it can get cold up in the Andes mountains, we supply wet gear and helmets…
Everything is included in the price of $50.
