Like many who come to us, this man was hungry. With no family support, he gets what he can by selling what he can on the street. He also is in need of medications that he cannot afford. Our social worker, Valeria, visited him in his room as we do with all those looking for help. Rarely is food the only problem.
She assessed that his living conditions were contributing to his poor health. So, thanks to your donations, our team brought him a bed (could you imagine having to sleep on that old mattress?). We also provide his medications and he gets regular food support from our Food Bank.
Your financial contributions are greatly appreciated to support the many who come to us needing this type of assistance. But, also are your donations to our Thrift Shop. Every week we donate clothing, food, furniture, kitchen supplies to those in need. We can arrange a pickup or you can drop off your donations at: Juan Montalvo 8-18 and Mariscal Sucre. Thank you for your support.
