Hey Cuenca friends, how would you like a 5-day car rental to explore Ecuador?
The Cuenca English Lions Club is holding a raffle to raise funds to support their service activities. Winners of the raffle will win car rentals donated by Cuenca Car Share.
First prize is a car rental for 5 days with 1,000 km ($450 value). Second prize is a 3-day car rental with 500km ($260 value). Third prize is a trip to Guayaquil ($120 value) and fourth prize is a Four Village Guided Tour (Bartolome – guitar makers, Gualaceo – orchids and textile weavers, Chordeleg – jewelry, and SigSig – Panama hats and the last Canari chief) led by Emilio Morocho ($110).
The cost per raffle ticket is only $10 and a maximum of 500 tickets will be sold. The drawing will be held on April 30, 2022. First and second prize are only available in May and September. The other prizes can be redeemed at any time subject to availability. Our appreciation to Cuenca Car Share for donating these prizes.

100% of the money raised will be used to fund Cuenca English Lions Club service projects. None of the funds raised are used for the administrative costs of CELC. Currently we are supporting projects with the Cuenca Soup Kitchen, Casa de la Diabetes, Childhood Cancer, Give Refugees a ChancE, and Keep Cuenca Beautiful. In addition, we offer vision screenings and free eyeglasses to children who cannot afford them. Our motto is we serve and as such our members are involved in various other volunteer projects in Cuenca.
The Cuenca English Lions Club meets the third Monday of the month at Kolo Restaurant and Bakery, Luis Cordero 5-56 (Hotel Vieja Mansion), at 9 AM for breakfast and meeting to follow at 10 AM. If you are looking for a way to serve the Cuenca community, we would like to meet you. Our next meeting is April 18th. We hope to see you there.
