‘Carnival’ is coming! We have prepared a wonderful week for you. Great films, amazing food, incredible concerts and an unmissable seven-course dinner. All happening at La Guarida, all fresh, organic and from local producers.
Remember that, this week, we serve breakfast from Tuesday to Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM. A fresh brewed batch of coffee makes a difference.
February 22nd (Tuesday, 6:45 PM): “Madres Paralelas”
‘Parallel Mothers’ is the latest work by Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar. Penelope Cruz has been nominated for the Oscars as best actress in this film. One of the best films of the year.
February 23rd (Wednesday, 6:45 PM): “Unforgiven”
La Guarida celebrates the 30th Anniversary of this incredible western classic. Starring Clint Eastwood (also the Director of this film), Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman, Richard Harris and a stellar cast of actors.
February 24th (Thursday, 7:30 PM): “Trio La Comarca”
‘La Comarca,’ is back at La Guarida. This award winning local trio is the best way to get into the spirit of the Carnival holiday. You don’t want to miss this high energy musical experience. Dinner, music and great wine – you can find it all at La Guarida. Admission: $10 – this fee goes 100% to the musicians.
February 25th (Friday from 5 – 9 PM): A Carnival Inspired Seven Course Meal.
This whole month we have been preparing Carnival style dishes from around the world. The best way to go on a quick vacation is by creating and exciting and innovative menu celebrating the beginning of the Carnival holiday. We’ll serve picanha carpaccio, fried cassava in three sauces, morcilla (rustic sausage) and sauerkraut, shrimp po’boy, brick-oven roasted pig, bananas foster and a gorgeous mango sorbet & green peaches. Seven courses for $30. An incredible experience great for groups, singles and friends.
