At Rancho Hermanos Prado, we offer you a memorable day: hiking, fishing, photography or just relaxing by the indoor fire. You can come with your family, friends, or alone and enjoy this wonderful place located just 40 minutes outside of Cuenca.
Your private hired guide will pick you up at your door and drive you up to his family’s private land and restaurant. Your guide will accommodate you with hikes to your ability: Easy walking hikes to see the lakes and llamas on the land, and an education of the different Cajas plants and their medicinal properties. If you want to take a more strenuous hike in the majestic mountains, you can; going up to an elevation of 14,000 feet. It is a breathtaking experience for the advanced hiker.
For lovers of casting or fly fishing, we offer you guided day fishing trips to natural lakes where you can fish for rainbow trout. Your guide will provide you with all the necessary gear, or you can bring your own. Included in your day is a delicious traditional breakfast and a fresh Trout lunch. Other choices are available. Hot chocolate, coffee or tea from Cajas. Canelazo is a typical warm alcoholic drink that you can try. You will also be entertained by the Prado musicians with folklore and traditional music while you warm yourselves by the on-going fire.
