It’s nearly time for GringoPost readers to select this year’s BEST. Again, in 2021, contact with many eligible entities has been limited…but, we mustn’t neglect our favorites. Recognizing the Best is more
important than usual.
We’ll release the Best of GringoPost 2022, on Valentine’s Day, Monday, February 14th. We’d like your input on many of the dozens of categories that will appear. It’s time to choose the winners. Voting will begin on Saturday, January 15th and close on, Sunday, January 30th.
About the Best of GringoPost
GringoPost’s “Best of” is a reader poll designed to let you share all the wonderful things you like about living here, from your favorite snack joint and lunch place, to the best festivals and historical spots to visit. It looks at the community we love. Dozens of awards will be given in the categories of: LIFE, PLACES & FACES, WINE & DINE, and BUSINESSES.
Best of GringoPost features the best of the best in Cuenca and all of Ecuador, selected by you – our subscribers – and then shared with the rest of our community.
Best of GringoPost kicks off Saturday, January 15th, 2022 and involves a two-week voting period through Sunday, January 30th to determine the “Best of GringoPost” in each category. On Valentine’s Day, Monday, February 14th, 2022, winners will be announced online at www.gringopost.com.
The winners will receive Best of GringoPost awards to display and be given permission to use the Best of GringoPost logo on all marketing material. Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to promote themselves for Best of GringoPost with logo cards, flyers, posters, banner ads and logos.

VOTING…easy as 1-2-3
Starting Saturday, January 15th, to cast your vote for Best of GringoPost, visit GringoPost.com, click on “The Best of…” and follow the steps to vote in each category.
1) Select one of the four main categories
2) Enter your vote in one of the sub-categories (Vote for as many or as few categories as you like. If you have a suggestion for a new category, email: support@gringopost.com with your suggestion.)
3) Submit your entry
Voting begins Saturday, January 15th. Each registered user may cast a vote in each category. There will be no restriction on the number of times an online user can vote provided that the voter does not vote for the same entity, in the same category more than once. A vote for the same entity in the same category more than once is not valid. Winners for each category will be determined by tabulating valid votes received during the voting period. The voting period is January 15th through January 30th, 2022. Odds of winning are determined by the number of eligible entries received.
VOTING DEADLINES:
On-line voting will begin at 12:00:01 AM (local Ecuador time) on Saturday, January 15th, 2022 and continue through 11:59:59 PM (local Ecuador time) on Sunday, January 30th, 2022.
THE WINNERS
The winners of each category will be announced in the Best of GringoPost Special Edition post on February 14th, 2022.
