Hi my name is Brendan, I am native to North Carolina but I currently live about 20 minutes north of Cuenca. Recently I have started a business with a highly talented architect who is native to Cañar province (north of Cuenca.) Her specialty is the design of custom natural homes, but she also works in the legalization and division of property as well as geotechnical analysis of property to guarantee the stability of building sites. I work to guarantee that she and our customers are on the same page during every aspect of her processes. Her capabilities with the English language are limited but I am fluent in Spanish and serve as the bridge with English speaking clients.
My profession is custom crafting and carpentry. I sub-contract other aspects of the building process to skilled local specialists. I have trusted contacts in all aspects of the building process.
Together we specialize in the design and construction of high quality homes made from natural materials. We also contract works for alternative energy systems and we construct homes which are made to feel very comfortable and cozy for the sub-tropical climate of the Ecuadorian Andes.
We also work in the holistic design for property management for people who are purchasing rural properties in Azuay and Cañar province. We can help design and build water collection systems (if the property has springs or uncontaminated waterways) and we can do holistic orchard and garden design to protect waterways and native ecology. We also assess steep areas and can work to mitigate the risk of landslides and erosion.

I also have contacts for lawyers who specialize in title searches and buy/sell contracts to guarantee everything is secure and legal.
Our home office and workshop are located in a neighborhood called Puicay, above Challuabamba, about 10 minutes north of Cuenca on the highway towards Azoques. From the center of Cuenca it takes about 25 minutes to get there if you have your own transport. We are also willing to meet with clients in Cuenca if they do not have their own transport. We know drivers who can transport you to our home office as well. In the case you have already purchased a property we can travel to the property for consultations and estimates.
