“Too Human” – album release concert – local artist JoJo
Afiche

JoJo presents his album, “Demasiado Humano” (Too Human) — a bold new album that celebrates everything raw, weird, and wonderfully real.

Recorded different studios in Quito and Cuenca, the album isn’t over-polished and each track carries its own texture and moods. The album leans into the cracks, the edges, the beautiful mess of being human.

A rising voice in Ecuador’s indie scene, JoJo moves fluidly between music, poetry, performance, and fashion. With a strong presence on social media and a growing following on Spotify, he’s carving out a space that feels distinctly his own—unapologetic, emotional, and visually striking.

Demasiado Humano isn’t just an album; it’s a pulse.

It breathes. It bruises. It touches the nerve.

Day of Giving: Support FAAN and the SuperDogs of Cuenca

Day of Giving • Support FAAN and the SuperDogs of Cuenca

Today, on this Day of Giving, we celebrate compassion, courage, and the belief that every dog deserves a life of dignity and love.

At Fundación FAAN, we are caring for more than 120 dogs like our SuperDog, Mafer, many rescued from heartbreaking situations of abuse, abandonment, and neglect. Every day, our team works tirelessly in rescue, prevention, and education, building a community where animals are protected, valued, and cherished.

And today, we invite you to stand with us.

Build the Future: The SuperDog Sanctuary

Your gift helps us construct Cuenca’s first modern, humane SuperDog Sanctuary—a place where underdogs become Superdogs, safe and loved as they wait for their forever homes.

Visit the SuperDogs Sanctuary Project: https://superdogssanctuary.org/

Support Daily Care and Rescue

Your contribution provides food, medical treatment, shelter, and enrichment for dogs who depend on FAAN every day.

Together, we save lives—one dog at a time.

Invest in Prevention and Education

A truly compassionate city begins with what we teach the next generation.

By supporting FAAN’s prevention and education programs, you help ensure that children and families grow up understanding that compassion for animals builds a more compassionate world for both humans and animals.

This work breaks cycles of neglect and creates a kinder future for all.

Together, We Make Cuenca the City that Cares

Traveling made easy for English speakers!

Hi. I’m Steffy, of Meals in a Jar fame. As a side gig, I can help you navigate traveling to destinations worldwide, and can be especially helpful when traveling with a pet.

I am representing Aeris Travel Agency. Having worked in the local airline industry, I am competent in helping facilitate whatever you need from Aeris, a reliable travel agency. And if you prefer speaking in English, I’m your girl!

We offer:

– Travel insurance

– Airline tickets to destinations worldwide

– Confirmed departures to Galapagos year-round

– Tourist programs around the world

– Senior Discount

– No Gringo Pricing!

You will want to use our travel agency, instead of making your own arrangements, since you can:

• Get personalized service with a human being.

• Work with someone that knows the local issues.

• Work with someone that has relationships with travel providers.

• Get help with fixing problems, should a problem arise.

It is really important to trust accurate information when using different airlines. For example, we have a friend that is trying to travel with their dog. She found that trying to do this on her own was really frustrating.

A good travel agency can remove the hassles that can happen when traveling.

You can either contact me via the internet or see me at Sabatino’s feria on Saturday, December 6.

P.S. There is no extra fee for letting me help you.
