Mother Cabrini Mission is a newly organized church in Cuenca where all of God’s children are made to feel welcome. By design, we are a church created for those who have been hurt, disappointed, forgotten by religion in the past, including people who may be divorced, members of the LGBTQ+ community and their straight allies, the blind, the deaf, the disabled, HIV+, immigrants, the poor, the homeless, individuals with alcohol and drug addictions, those who have overcome those addictions, and people who are non-believers. All are invited to come together to learn, love, seek, and be touched by an all-loving community.
The church is named in honor of Francis Xavier Cabrini, an Italian-American religious sister and the first American Saint, considered the Patron Saint of Immigrants. Given that many members of our community are immigrants from North America, Europe, and Asia, this name is fitting.
You are invited to join us on Sunday, October 4th, 2026, at 11 AM for the celebration of the Holy Mass, celebrated by Father Delvin. Please plan to stay afterward for coffee and fellowship.
We are located in a former home at General Torres 15-88 and Alberto Munoz Vernaza in Cuenca.
Our church professes a more progressive theology, ordains men and women, offers open communion, and is fully affirming and inclusive of the LGBTQ community.
