The Canadian Kitchen presents the next “pierogi Pop-Up” this Sunday, March 22nd! Orders must be received by Thursday, March 19th for scheduled pick-up or delivery on Sunday from the Otorongo Lounge in Plaza Otorongo on Avenida 3 de Noviembre.
Incredible flavors of the cultures, traditions, and histories of Eastern Europe, and Russia, enjoyed for generations over hundreds of years in the Eastern European, and Russian communities of the Canadian Prairies.
Menu:
• Pierogi Classic (6 pierogi, cheesy potato filling) $5. (Like little empanadas with a flour dough and filling, soft inside and crispy outside, served with homemade sour cream)
• Pierogi Supreme (6 cheesy potato with mushrooms, bacon and onion) $8
• Pierogi Combo (3 classic and 3 supreme) $6.50
• 1 liter of Borscht (2 servings) $10 (A traditional soup stew made from beets, dill and spices, garlic, buttery beef bone broth and tender slow roasted beef ribs)
• Cabbage Rolls (6 per order, each 2 inches long by 1 inch wide) $10 (filled with a rich, buttery, pork and bacon blend and a touch of rice cooked in chicken stock)
• Zucchini Fritters (6 per order, 3 or 4 bites each fritter) $5 (crispy pancakes loaded with shredded zucchini, cabbage, and potato, soft inside and served with a creamy, tangy, mustard and pickle dip)
