Sonic Journeys is a workshop series where sound becomes a bridge — connecting body, emotion, creativity, and everyday life.
Led by High Modo, a local DJ and music producer, this sensory journey invites participants to listen differently, create intuitively, and connect — with themselves, with others, and with the surrounding environment. No musical background required — just curiosity and openness.
The series includes three unique workshops:
(1) Sound Journey + Collaborative Dance | January 24 . 4:30 PM
A guided immersion that begins with meditation, gradually opens into free movement, and evolves into a shared dance experience, followed by reflection and dialogue. Guided with Camila Toledo.
(2) Sound Play: Music from Ordinary Things | February 7 . 4:30 PM
Participants transform ordinary objects into instruments, explore rhythm and collective composition, and record an original piece created together — celebrating creativity and sustainability. Co-facilitator: Marcelo Abril
(3) Cuenca Soundscapes | April 4 . 3:30 PM
A guided sound walk through the city, capturing urban and natural textures. Back at idiomARTE, we listen deeply and compose a collective soundscape with the sounds we’ve captured then make a cohesive sound recording — an auditory portrait of Cuenca.
Open to locals and visitors (bilingual)
No musical experience needed
