Have you noticed that there are some churches where you might not feel welcome if you are divorced, gay, your beard’s a little scruffy or there are those who judge that you are not quite appropriately dressed to be sitting in “their pew”?
Or maybe some pastor or priest has denied you the sacrament because they deemed you to not be worthy because you came to church with alcohol on your breath, have defiled your body with a tattoo or piercing that someone found offensive or members have noticed you have been sleeping on the streets.
We get it! And we pray that you will find hope and comfort in knowing that you are not alone. God knows your pain, loves you unconditionally no matter who you are or where you on life’s journey. Please know you are always welcome to worship with us at St. Christopher Episcopal Mission!”
St. Christopher was the first English language Episcopal Church in South America with members coming from all faith backgrounds: Baptist, Disciples of Christ, Episcopalian, LDS, Lutheran, Mennonite, Methodist, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic and the United Church of Christ.
You will find an inclusive, multicultural, bilingual, and multi-generational worship community, with joyful, friendly members, who are committed to social justice and helping others.
We would like to welcome you to join us on Sunday afternoons at 2 PM, we can be found at Bartolome de las Casas #5-34 and Tirso de Molina.
