We all have stories — some waiting to be told, others waiting to be heard.
StoryJAM, our bilingual storytelling open mic at idiomARTE, is where they meet.
This is a lively, welcoming night of storytelling in all its forms. Tell a true story or a fictional one. Share a poem. Sing a story through music. If it tells a story, it belongs here.
Each edition blends invited storytellers with open mic slots, filled on the spot — so whether you come ready to share or just to listen, you’re part of the experience.
Every month brings a new theme, and this month it’s “Busted!”
Expect hilarious, surprising, and slightly scandalous tales of getting caught… or getting away with it. You might just bust a gut laughing.

StoryJAM is proudly bilingual — a joyful mix of English, Spanish, and everything in between. Through summaries, translation, and a healthy dose of Spanglish, we make sure every story lands. Because language shouldn’t divide us — it should bring us closer.
Guiding us through the night are your hosts:
Barry Callen — musician, storyteller, and all-around good time
Ximena Moscoso — set designer, artist, and lifelong storyteller
Side effects of StoryJAM may include laughter, inspiration, and a mild storytelling addiction.
