Looking to Give Back in a Meaningful Way in 2026? This Is Your Moment.
Have you been thinking about working in animal welfare and using your skills—and your heart—to make a real difference in Cuenca?
Fundación FAAN is opening new volunteer positions and warmly inviting prospective volunteers to our New Year Volunteer Orientation Lunch:
Friday, January 16
FAAN Volunteer Headquarters, Zona Rosa
Join us to:
-Learn about FAAN’s mission and impact—including our work in prevention, education, rescue, and sanctuary, and our exciting plans to build the new SuperDogs Sanctuary.
-Explore a wide range of volunteer roles—from administration, fundraising, marketing, and education to event planning, construction teams, and hands-on work with our dogs.
-Discover how many volunteers—especially retirees living in Ecuador—find purpose and joy by contributing their professional skills in flexible, meaningful ways. Some work virtually and independently on projects, while others love being part of a minga or team-based effort.
-See how your time, experience, and compassion can help shape the future of animal welfare in Cuenca.
This special onboarding luncheon is designed to welcome new members into the FAAN family and introduce the incredible community—our FAAN-TASTICS—who make it all happen through their love of animals and service.
Important: A completed volunteer application is required in advance to attend this orientation lunch.
Together, we can help make Cuenca “The City That Cares” when it comes to animal welfare.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign—this is it.
