• Tuesday, January 20 – “We”, directed by Alice Diop (Documental – 2021 – 1h57)
“We” tells the story of the encounters experienced by the filmmaker along a railway line that runs from north to south through Paris and its outskirts. She meets a cleaning lady, a scrap dealer, a writer, a nurse, and a hunter. The people she encounters on her journey come together to form a whole, a possible “we.” “
• Tuesday, January 27 – “Azur and Asmar”, directed by Michel Ocelot (Animation – 2007 – 1h39)
“Azur, the son of a nobleman, and Asmar, the son of their nurse, grow up like brothers. As adults, they become rivals and each sets out to find the fairy Djins in the medieval Maghreb—a journey that brings them together again.”
