Tommy and Manchas are two beautiful and sweet pups, between 1 to 2 years, who for more than a year, have been kept in inhumane conditions — confined (along with a third dog!) in very small dirt enclosure and with just a bare wooden pallet to sleep on.
I am posting this on behalf of my friends who live next to Tommy and Manchas and who, after much effort, have persuaded the neighbor to finally release the dogs so they can live a much better life. (My friends are away from Cuenca until January 2, but they can still answer any questions you may have in the meantime; their contact information is at the bottom of the post.)
Tommy and Manchas don’t need much. They’ve only ever lived outside, so they could still be outdoor dogs. All they need is a safe space to actually be able to move around and have some shelter from the sun and rain.
Important note: The photos included below do not show their current actual living conditions; these were taken one special day when the neighbor allowed my friends to take the boys for their very first walk outside their enclosure.
A group of us will pay for the costs of sterilizing Tommy and Manchas and ensuring they are 100% current with their vaccines. I’ll also happily contribute a new dog house.
Even if you can’t adopt or foster these two little guys, would you please help by spreading the word and sharing their photos on your social media accounts? Truly, any help is appreciated.
On behalf of Tommy and Manchas, Thank you!
